M&A STRATEGY 

Many M&A transactions are opportunistic, however, successful acquirers are often companies that plan ahead and craft a carefully thought out M&A strategy.

 

The strategy defines critical elements: 

- Why do we want to acquire 

- What type of companies, synergies, geographies and sizes are relevant 

- What is the right timing, absorptive capacity,  etc.

- What will be the Unique Value Proposition of the merged entity

A good M&A strategy will also define what type of companies are out of scope, thus allowing the acquirer to focus on the real priorities and not to spread efforts into unnecessary areas.

The M&A strategy is a crucial component for successful In-organic growth.
